Day 5--God comforts

"3 years ago, my do Lily died. I was devastated. This was the most sadness I've felt in my life. But not long after her death, God put a cute blackish/brown dog into my life, and we named him Tramp. I know God put him in my life, because I haven't been as sad as I used to be. I still miss Lily...a lot. But loving Tramp makes me feel a lot better.” - Justus N.

Life is such a precious gift in any package.  Whether we are saying good bye to a pet or a loved one, the emptiness just plain stinks.

“Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.”  Matthew 5:4

The world isn’t a perfect place and death is part of life.  But God’s plan is bigger than the world.  God’s word promises us that there will never be grief where there isn’t also God’s love to comfort us.

Praise God today for the ways He provides comfort to you and don’t be afraid to take your sadness to Him no matter how big or how small.
