Day 1--God is here.

It's Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, a time to reflect on Christ's sacrifice and get ready for the promise of Easter.  It's one of those seasons in the church where there's all sorts of symbolism everywhere and sometimes we remember the reason behind it.  Maybe you're new to the faith and have no idea what is going on.  Maybe you have been going to church your entire life and still have no idea what is going on!  Either way, there is no time like this time, friends, to remember that God is here.

"For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost." Luke 19:10

Not a one of us is perfect.  Not a single one.  But Christ's sacrifice on the cross wasn't because of our own worthiness.  It was because of His!!  And that's how God continues to operate.

For the next 39 days of Lent some amazing people will be sharing their stories about how God has moved in their lives.  My prayer is that these will serve as daily reminders that in your life--and every life--God is here and He's ain't going anywhere!  Maybe you know someone that needs to hear a little bit about who God is, too.  Please pass this along.  You might be the only one willing to!  As a bonus gift for checking in we'll also include this awesome picture of unicorns watching dolphins jump in front of the moon.  What could be more uplifting than that??!!  :)

Dear God, as we enter into the season of Lent help us to remember how much you love us, how very close you are to us each day, how your love is for everyone.  I thank you for everyone who will be sharing their story over the next several weeks and pray that you would use their words to touch many.  Amen.
