Day 37--God wants your gifts.

“I’ve been working at The River, which is an organization that gives children with special needs a chance to participate in the fine arts.  Watching them perform and seeing how excited they are by sharing their gifts with others has been incredible, and I am so blessed that God has given me the opportunity to watch them bring joy to others.”  --Abby W.

For with great power comes great responsibility…..

(hmmmm…..I appear to be on a super hero kick this week J)

Each one of us is gifted in some way.  Can you imagine the world if people used their gifts to God’s glory all the time?  Think about how encouraging that would be!  How peaceful!

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world indeed!!  Use what you’ve got and do some good with it.  If you’re a dancer, a singer, a painter, good with numbers, good with tools.  Find a way to use the gifts God gave you to encourage others and pass on His love.

Make a list today of all the gifts you think God has blessed you with.  Pray over these gifts.  Ask God for guidance and opportunity to use the gifts to bless and encourage others.  Ask God’s light to shine through you to others today.
